What's the big deal about beliefs?

We become like the God we serve. What we believe about God shapes our lives. Is what you believe working for you? Do you find yourself living more joyfully, peacefully and lovingly every day.? If not, maybe its not your circumstances that need to change, but what you believe about God and how you engage with Him. To know God personally in ways that really matter takes paying attention to our lives in new ways and putting new practices into our lives. We welcome you to explore the theme of "God is..."  in March and "Jesus reimagined" in April.

Our hope and our heart is that each and every child who walks through our door finds a place within our children's ministries, and we work hard to ensure they do!  Please take a look at our programs below, and let our staff know if you have any questions!

Upcoming Events //
Student Leadership Night

This is an opportunity for student leaders to be heavily involved in making decisions for our youth group. We believe in having students lead and help make decisions in areas of worship, events, games, outreach, etc. This will be a short meeting before service for adult leaders and student leaders to collaborate ideas together to make NC youth a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and influential environment as possible.

Youth Group //
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS @ 7

Wednesday nights grades 6th-12th come together to worship God and grow together. NC youth is simply about Jesus. We have fun together as we help students encounter God's love for every one of them and His great plans for their lives. Our goal is to see students saved, grow, serve, and lead others to the hope they've found. Every time of worship, every game, and every sermon is done to accomplish that mission.

Our Current Series: Lights Shine Bright

Over the next few weeks we will begin to look at how effective witness starts with us standing out as different, how authentic change is powerful proof of the reality of God. We will look at how to be ready, how to be bold, how to listen well, and how to be on the daily mission of spreading hope.

Young people are not just the church of the future but they're the church of today as well. We all need to understand that effective witness starts with how you live over what you say. Then when you do give an answer to your hope, that you know how to do it with gentleness and respect. Our lights will shine bright when we stand out in the way we live and how we respond to people."

"Lights Shine Bright" is about being an effective witness to Jesus. The Bible tells us in Acts 1:8 that we're to be His witnesses in our schools, city, state, and to the ends of the earth. But how do we do that?

Many times as believers we struggle to know how to be an effective witness. How do we tell people about the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ? We often struggle with feeling like we need to know everything first or worry about being asked a question we don't know the answer to. Sometimes we just don't know how to start the conversation. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:15 that we should always be ready to give an answer to anyone about the hope that we have but to do so with gentleness and respect.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
— 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
