Miss a service? Catch up here!

What's the big deal about beliefs?

We become like the God we serve. What we believe about God shapes our lives. Is what you believe working for you? Do you find yourself living more joyfully, peacefully and lovingly every day.? If not, maybe its not your circumstances that need to change, but what you believe about God and how you engage with Him. To know God personally in ways that really matter takes paying attention to our lives in new ways and putting new practices into our lives. We welcome you to explore the theme of "God is..."  in March and "Jesus reimagined" in April.

Kids

Our mission is to provide a safe and exciting place where kids can know Jesus!

Kids

Our mission is to provide a safe and exciting place where kids can know Jesus!

Welcome to NC Kids! It would be easy to assume that kids church is just a childcare program the church provides while parents attend service, but here at Neighborhood Church that is not how we see it. We take our kids and their spiritual growth very seriously. Our children are the church of the future, but they are also the church of the present! NC Kids is all about teaching children that God has a plan for them NOW that they can continue to build on as they grow older.

We believe that by presenting God’s word to children in an exciting age appropriate way and showing them that they can have a relationship with Jesus, we can build a generation who grows up living on fire for God. Teaching children in a class setting is not enough. By giving them hands-on experience in service to others, children can see that Jesus can use them and that they are important to Christ NOW! Kids are not only the church of TOMORROW, they are the church of TODAY!

Our volunteers for NC Kids are extremely important to the success of our ministry. By mentoring and teaching these kiddos our volunteers leave a lasting impression in the lives. By relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance to be the example, our kids learn to worship God, understand the truths of His word and discover that the God who created them loves them beyond measure.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS @ 7

Wednesday nights grades 6th-12th come together to worship God and grow together. NC youth is simply about Jesus. We have fun together as we help students encounter God's love for every one of them and His great plans for their lives. Our goal is to see students saved, grow, serve, and lead others to the hope they've found. Every time of worship, every game, and every sermon is done to accomplish that mission.

Our Current Series: How's your SOul?

Over the next few weeks we will begin to take a look inside at how we're really doing. If our physical bodies have a home, then how about the inside you? The truth is God works from the inside out, helping us to become the people He has made us to be.

Teens today face many challenges but a major one would be finding stability and consistency no matter what life throws their way, from the inside out. God has an original design for our souls and knows what we need to be healthy on the inside.

"How's Your Soul" is inspired by Pastor Judah Smith's book. He asks questions about the health of our soul that every believer should ask. He looks at life and our faith from the inside out to help us take a look inside at how we're really doing.

Do you find yourself in an endless pursuit of happiness and no matter how hard you try it seems to be elusive? Or maybe you've achieved what you thought would make you happy only to still feel empty? Why is it that some people can have what seems to be everything going right and still feel empty? When still other's can be going through the most difficult and painful experiences in life and still be stable and grounded? I think the answer is when your soul is "at home" you can remain at peace in all circumstances.

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for i shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
— Psalm 42:11

What we're about

Neighborhood Church's college & young adults group, is a place to come and discuss who God is and how He relates to our lives every Sunday night at 6:30pm. It is a safe, open place to learn about and get deeper with God.

We face the uncertainty of what our futures hold on the other side. As young adults ranging from 18-30, we are discovering what we want our lives to become through school, careers, and church. The focus of Young Adults is to keep Christ the center through fellowship and accountability.

We believe that our journeys with the Lord are much more enjoyable (and at times convicting) when alongside others. As a group we have seen and fed (both spiritually and physically) many different people. We’ve had the opportunity to equip each other for what God and the world has for each individual.

What We're Up To

Starting in February we will be going through 1 Corinthians and studying about Paul's instructions to the church in Corinth. We will be discussing how these teachings are relevant today and can be applied to our lives.

We meet every Sunday night at 6:30pm, and location will be at a local coffee shop or Pastor Nathan's home.  If you are interested in joining us, contact Pastor Nathan!  You can also join our Facebook Group to stay up to date with announcements and prayer requests.
