Do you feel pressure to live as Jesus desires for you? I find it is so easy to slip into a relationship with God that I think is dependant on me. No, it's dependent on Him. You can depend on it. Your role and mine is to be present to His presence and let Him take the lead.

You know Jesus Christ is alive and living in you. That truth, when you really get it, takes all the pressure off your life with God. Jesus is a person who loves you with a personal love. He waits patiently for you to respond personally to his love. When you pray see yourself looking into His face with trust. Wait in His presence until His love really shines into your heart. Don't focus on how you can keep close to God; how can you can keep from sin. But ask if Jesus is close to me already, then, I am already in His presence. He keeps me from sin. I can trust Him and find peace knowing that truth.

You have Christ’s life in you. His grace is enough for all you need today. His presence within you making you to be like Him. He is being formed in you, so His likeness, can be seen though you. Stay in His presence until you get some sense of the greatness and nearness of God. Be still and know God will carry on His work in you this day. Say to God, “Father, here I am to receive as much of Christ as I am able.”  Be still and know he is forming Christ in you. He is saying, “My child, I give you as much of Jesus as your heart is open to receive.”

That takes all the pressure off. When you get that He is waiting and ready to keep your relationship with Him alive and powerful, you can relax. He will give you of Himself, as much as you are ready and open to today. Then go out to meet the day knowing He's got your back. He is with you and for you. Now just live open to Him.
